When the word "chair" is no longer enough

Sedia LSD

The professionalism of architects, technology, materials, workmanship and finishes have brought about a radical change in the world of furniture. By now the chair is no longer a simple object for people to sit on, but much more. The chair has become an object of design, a product perfectly integrated in the furniture, especially in the modern one.

Thanks to more and more advanced machinery it is possible to obtain products with the most sought after and often incredible shapes, which were not possible until a few years ago. This is due to the laser cutting of tubes and sheet metal, thanks to machines that allow increasingly difficult and complex processing, but also thanks to new types of materials, both plastic and aluminium or even carbon.

So we see that every year the products on the market change radically and the new products follow one another rapidly. We have switched from wooden products to tubular metal products. Until a few years ago, products were mainly made with round tubes, now they are made with square tubes, often with sharp-edged shapes and very squared shapes, accompanied by very special finishing materials such as seats or backrests in methacrylate or composite fibres with an attractive design, often with a rather strong colour and with transparencies that give very special visual effects.

Combining technology and design... everyone's taste!
