Swivel office chairs or fixed chair? Which to choose?
The first choice regarding the office chair model is the one related to the "mobility" of the chair itself: is it better to choose an executive swivel chair or a fixed office chair?
As for every choice, we must take into account our own needs: if during work in the office we often need to move from one point to another of the work surface or even of the room, a swivel chair may be more useful because it avoids having to get up every time from the chair.

A swivel chair is sensitive to even the smallest movements of the body, which are transferred to the wheels: for this reason it is necessary to be careful when using this type of chair, to avoid small accidents due to distraction.
There are also models of swivel chairs with a fixed base: in this case mobility is obviously reduced, limited to the area around the chair, but the risks of involuntary movements and therefore of accidents are also reduced: this type of swivel chair is an interesting choice especially when movements must be limited to the area around the work station.
This type of chair is excellent for the study or smart working area in another room.
How much do swivel office chairs cost?
An ergonomic postural office chair that also swivels has very different prices: it all depends on the characteristics you want to find in the swivel chair.
If you are satisfied with a classic chair, with limited padding and visible wheels, the price starts at 50 euros for a model of discreet quality.
If, on the other hand, you opt for a model with more padding and a better finish, the price rises to around EUR 80.
Obviously, models with different features (e.g. the possibility of adjusting the inclination of the backrest, or the height of the armrests or headrest, equipped with a footrest or even a gas lift system for adjusting the height of the seat) certainly have a higher cost, even reaching and exceeding 200 euros.
In determining the price, the type of upholstery chosen also has an influence: fabric upholstery is the most economical, while leatherette or real leather upholstery are more expensive.
